Loretta Martin

Emeritus Board Member

A native of Whidbey Island, Loretta moved back in 1995 and became Langley Chamber Director from 1998 until 2007.  Loretta is active in the community both volunteering and serving on several non-profit boards.  She believes our community thrives when our local businesses thrive.  Loretta was an enthusiastic boater and hiker but lately spends most of her time writing murder mysteries.  She has written or co-written 22 Langley Mystery Weekends and over 30 such events for B&Bs, resorts, and other small towns (as long as the towns are at least 200 miles from Langley).  Loretta was a Commercial Designer, specializing in stores and hotels.  She later worked as an Art Director and Producer in broadcast television and served as the founding Main Street Director for Port Angeles.
