Located in the heart of downtown Langley, the Animal Hospital by the Sea is Whidbey Island’s newest small animal care facility. Dr. Jean Dieden, a long-time island resident, brings home almost 30 years of experience as a small animal veterinarian to best serve Whidbey’s active pet community. We are pleased to offer the advanced veterinary technology and care of a large facility, while maintaining the personal service and attention of a smaller “hometown” clinic.
The Art Loft is a beautiful penthouse apartment one the 3rd floor of a building on First Street in Langley with views of Saratoga Passage. It is fully furnished and available as a vacation rental. One bedroom, queen-size bed, one queen-size sleeper sofa in living room, jetted tub/shower, VCR-DVD-TV, in non-smoking building/grounds. Sorry, no pets. Blooms Winery has been a winery on Whidbey Island since 2003. The winery facility is located in Freeland, and an off site tasting room is open to the public at the historic Bayview Corner just outside Langley. The Blooms Winery Tasting Room is open 7 days a week and includes small plates food service, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. The Restaurant at The Inn at Langley, under the creative eye of Northwest award-winning Chef Matt Costello, is a gem of the Inn. The Oak Harbor Music Festival is held Friday, Saturday and Sunday before Labor Day in Historic Downtown Oak Harbor. This year the dates are Sept 2-3-4. Whidbey Island Bicycle Club
Whidbey Island Bicycle Club (WIBC) is made up of riders with all levels of experience. WIBC goals include more riding, bringing cyclists together to ride and plan rides, advocating for safe cycling routes, developing community cycling events, mountain bike trail stewardship, and supporting community activities that involve cycling. WIBC is about road and trail riding, touring, training, racing, long haul and out of town riding, commuting and leisure riding.

Whidbey Island Center for the Arts (WICA) is dedicated to offering high-quality performances; exposing residents and students to local and nationally recognized artists, musicians, literary works, and authors as well as the chance to be a part of in-house full-scale theater productions.
Whidbey Island Dance Theatre
Whidbey Island Dance Theatre was founded in 1993 to promote dance as a significant cultural resource for Whidbey Island and the surrounding communities, and to provide pre-professional experience for outstanding young dancers. WIDT presents a broad range of dance genres including ballet, modern dance, jazz dance, tap and ballroom. Strict standards of training and choreography provide dancers with opportunities for personal and artistic growth. WIDT was a member of Regional Dance America from 2001-2012.
WIDT presents two major productions each year. Our largest production, The Nutcracker, has enjoyed 18 highly successful seasons. In spring, our Dance & Choreography Showcase highlights the diverse talents of our broadly trained dancers and features the works of both resident and guest choreographers. Guest choreographers in recent years include Eva Stone, Aaron Cash, Danielle Wilkins, Laurentia Barbu, Andrea Binder, Leigh-Ann Cohen Hafford, Jenna Kantor, and Daniel Wilkins of DASS Dance. In 2004, Sharon Tyers, formerly of the Martha Graham Dance Company, set the first modern dance master work on WIDT: Martha Graham’s Appalachian Spring.
Since 2000, WIDT has performed in Tucson, Salt Lake City, greater Los Angeles, and at the National Dance Festival in Pittsburgh, PA as well as a dozen cities in Washington. Local WIDT guest appearances include a featured evening at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts in 2007 and 2004, a performance including Waltz of the Flowers and Appalachian Spring at the internationally acclaimed Meerkerk Rhododendron Gardens’ May Day festival, the Festival of Friends at the Northshore Performing Arts Center in Seattle, and the Ballet Bellevue Winter Gala at the Meydenbauer Center Theatre in Bellevue.
Artistic Director Charlene Brown began her dance studios, Island Dance, on Whidbey Island in 1987. The daughter of a dance educator, Char‘s whole life has been committed to offering the highest level of dance education and professional instructors to students. Extending this commitment to the art of choreography led to the formation of WIDT in 1993.

Home of the Loganberry Liqueur and other fine award-winning berry liqueurs. Whidbey Island Distillery is a family owned business run by three generations of the Heising family. We set out in 2009 to make a world class spirit right here on Washington’s own Whidbey Island, and in September 2011 we sold the first bottle of our Loganberry Liqueur.
