Innovative pianist Pax Wallace returns to Ott & Hunter with his trio built for exploration—an ensemble ready to stretch harmony, color, and groove into new territory. His evening of original jazz invites listeners into a sound world that’s both daring and deeply expressive. For this performance, guitarist Honza Kourimsky joins the lineup, adding his distinctive voice to the mix for what promises to be a truly must-see experience!  Holding down the bass and propelling the groove are Scott Swanberg (bass) and George Bullis (drums).

Kevin Jones has a history of sold-out performances at Ott & Hunter with 3 Track Mind and with Doyle Wood, and now he’s bringing a unique collaboration known as Bango Twango (previously the Tyack-Jones-Leighton Band) to our cabaret stage for this special event. He’ll be performing a curated set of music by some of his biggest influences: Jackson Browne, Ry Cooder, Warren Zevon, and David Lindley—along with his own original songs.  Joining Kevin are two world-class musicians he’s long admired and collaborated with in the past: Dan Tyack on Pedal Steel/lap steel guitar and Chris Leighton on drums/percussion.

Folk Machine on Whidbey Island

Seattle’s newest folk-roots trio are playing two shows on Whidbey Island.
Come for an evening of eclectic tunes ranging from political folk to soul music,
a cappella songs and ballads, with spine-tingling harmonies.

About the Artists:
Michael Laslett has a beautiful voice and guitar style equally suited to love songs, sing-a-longs and social justice anthems. He has performed around the country at music festivals and countless union meetings, picket lines and social justice gatherings.

Miriam Anderson started studying voice and percussion at the age of 10. She studied choral and orchestral conducting at UC Berkeley and completed a master’s of music in choral conducting at the University of Washington

Leif Utne is a globe-trotting multi-instrumentalist and singer who never leaves home without his flute and ukulele in hand.

Jack Radsliff Trio

Ott & Hunter welcomes back The Jack Radsliff Trio to our intimate cabaret room as they perform  modern, melodic jazz rooted in standards and original compositions.  Led by Jack Radsliff’s lyrical guitar along with a Garrett Baxter on bass and Michael Raynor on drums–this Portland area ensemble moves effortlessly between swinging grooves and hushed, contemplative moments, showcasing the group’s keen sense of dynamics and conversational interplay. Their sound is at once familiar and inventive—rooted in tradition but alive with contemporary phrasing and unexpected turns.

Jack Radsliff is guitarist/composer living in Portland, Oregon. As a bandleader, Jack’s group is a fixture at clubs and festivals throughout the region including The 1905, Seattle Jazz Fellowship, PDX Jazz Fest, Mt Hood Jazz Fest, Little Big Fest, and Anacortes Arts. His records, Migration Patterns (2017), Barefoot (2024), and Living/Live (2025), have all been well received; the first two making it onto critics “best of” lists and the latter being called “one of the best albums to come out of Portland’s jazz scene so far this year” (Willamette Week).

Celebrate the return of Spring with the Ian Hughes Quartet at Ott & Hunters intimate cabaret room where four standout Northwest musicians gather to create a sound both soulful and electrifying.  At the center of this group is Ian Hughes, whose guitar work blends lyricism, groove, and a touch of fire—shaping melodies that feel both fresh and timeless. Joining Ian are Marina Christopher on upright bass, Michael Jedynak on alto sax and percussion, and Chris Patin on drums.  Their latest recording “Dreamscapes” will be featured during the show and also available for sale on CD and vinyl.

Ott & Hunter is thrilled to present Patterns Fly, a trio that brings Seattle’s deep groove tradition into a new, mind-bending register. Andy Coe and D’Vonne Lewis lock in with Portland’s Galen Clark to create a pocket-heavy organ trio sound that channels Jimmy McGriff’s organ heat and Grant Green’s lyrical guitar while pushing into dance-floor funk and psychedelic exploration.
