You may know Duende Libre from their steady presence on KNKX, or from the unforgettable nights they’ve created in our cabaret room—nights full of color, rhythm, and that unmistakable spark. They return to fill our intimate space once more, inviting you into a world‑jazz experience that feels both expansive and close enough to touch.

Duende Libre is an award-winning jazz trio whose original music combines jazz virtuosity with roots rhythms from Cuba, Brazil, and West Africa into a “strikingly authentic blend.” Each having apprenticed with direct descendants and master musicians of these traditions, they consider themselves disciples of their teachers.
