OutCast Productions (OCP) is a theater company on the outskirts of downtown Langley, Washington. It is housed in the historic Black Box Theater on the Whidbey Island Fairgrounds. The company was founded in 2011 by Ned Farley and K. Sandy O’Brien and produces an average of five plays during its March to November season.
OCP maintains a resident staff of designers, an Executive Committee, and an Advisory Team. It welcomes volunteers in all aspects of theater production from the South Whidbey community and beyond.
As a theatre company that focuses on producing “theatre with a social conscience,” they strive to design productions that encourage critical thinking about the social issues of our time. OutCast’s goal is to provoke a dialogue about such issues as oppression, human rights, politics, and the psychological and emotional worlds of human beings at large.
Season tickets are available and annual auditions are open to anyone. The OutCast black box theater is available to rent for performances, rehearsals, meetings, or readings. Call them to set up a tour of this great Langley venue!
