From idyllic garden concerts, St. Augustine’s beautiful parish hall overlooking Holmes Harbor, to art galleries and historic barns, Whidbey Island Music Festival (WIMF) serves Whidbey Island with sublime musical experiences in memorable venues selected for acoustics, accessibility and memorable experiences. WIMF brings you the best of the 17th, 18th and 19th century chamber music, with vibrant performances of repertoire from Monteverdi, Bach, Vivaldi, and Mozart to Brahms and Florence Price.
Bach’s cantatas are an endless source of inspiration, comfort and joy. Spend an afternoon with America’s leading baroque oboist, Debra Nagy, and two renowned Bach singers, Tyler Duncan and Clara Rottsolk, accompanied by a stellar band of baroque specialists. In these cantatas the audience is invited to sing along in the chorales. Tekla and Debra conclude the program with Bach’s beloved concerto for oboe and violin.
