Gideon Freudmann with Buster Keaton

Performing a live soundtrack accompaniment to the silent film classic, “Sherlock Jr.”

Gideon Freudmann performs live soundtracks for classic silent films, focusing on Buster Keaton comedies and German Expressionist films from the 1920s. His mastery of the cello and extended technique along with use of real-time digital effects help shape his distinctive sound. Gideon’s modern accompaniment for films from a bygone era breathes new life into this past art, bringing the best of cinema and live music to another level and to new audiences.

Gideon is just back form a 3 week tour of Performing Art Centers in Montana, Idaho and Washington. He’s excited to present this timeless 100 year old comedy masterpiece on Whidbey Island.

This event is by reservation only and includes a shared appetizer board served to your table. A portion of the $25 admission fee will go to Whidbey Island Nourishes (WIN).

Due to limited seating capacity in the Dancing Fish Barn, some patrons may be assigned to larger communal tables.
