Langley Lights the Night 2025 Update

Dear Langley Community Members,
We’re writing to share a change in plans regarding this summer’s Langley Lights the Night aerial light drone show and block party. After thoughtful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to pause the event for this year.
This wasn’t an easy call to make. A few key challenges influenced our decision— including limited volunteer availability, safety and permitting logistics, and broader economic uncertainty affecting our ability to confidently plan and fund a large-scale event. . We want this event to shine as brightly as possible, and we simply didn’t have the runway this year to do it justice.
We know many were excited to gather downtown to celebrate our creative spirit under the stars, and we truly share that feeling. We remain committed to fostering community spirit and exploring alternative ways to bring visitors and neighbors together in the future. While Langley Lights the Night will take a break in 2025, we’re already looking ahead to 2026—when we hope to bring it back stronger, with the full support and collaboration of our incredible community.
If you'd like to support Langley Lights the Night, we’ll be launching a Community Spirit donation button on our website this summer. Langley has always been a place where neighbors come together to make magic happen! We’re grateful for your understanding and continued enthusiasm, and we’ll be sure to keep you posted on upcoming events and opportunities to connect in the months ahead.
With appreciation,
Nicole Whittington-Johnson, Executive Director
