Whidbey Island Jazz Festival 2026

Four days of world-class jazz, local talent, and community celebration
return to Whidbey Island Center for the Arts.

The festival opens May 28 with Christian McBride and Ursa Major, led by the eleven-time GRAMMY winner and joined by a rising generation of standout jazz artists. The evening begins with Mahuki, the genre-blending project of guitarist and composer Honza Kourimsky.

On May 29, kick things off with All Blues, No Clues: Whidbey Jazz Trivia, a free event testing your knowledge of jazz history and iconic artists. Later that evening, Whidbey Jazz Residency Night 1 brings an electrifying mix of jazz, funk, and Latin grooves with a rotating lineup of performers.

Saturday, May 30 begins with Little Groovers: Jazz for Kids (ages 6–9), an interactive, hands-on workshop exploring rhythm and creativity. That night, Whidbey Jazz Residency Night 2 delivers a completely new and spontaneous performance shaped by collaboration and improvisation.
