Thriving Fest August 13-15

ThrivingFest @ The Clyde

August 13th – 15th in Langley
(free, please RSVP)

For more than a decade, Thriving Communities has filmed ordinary people doing extraordinary work on Whidbey Island and beyond — the people who turn neighbors into collaborators and conversations into movements. August 13 – 15 we’re coming together to celebrate the films and visionaries as we reseed the community conversation, and we want your voice in it. Please join us for:

-> Films on housing, food and farming, and community well-being — each followed by a panel and conversation about where this work goes next

-> Shared meals throughout the festival

-> A closing session Saturday afternoon exploring what it will take for Whidbey to thrive in the decade ahead

Admission is free. Come for a single session or join us for all three days, but please RSVP so we can plan for the shared meals: https://www.thrivingcommunities.org/thrivingfest

THRIVINGFEST

Friday & Saturday, August 14th & 15th

Whidbey Island Center for the Arts
565 Camano Ave., Langley

All Day

ThrivingFest is a free, two-day community gathering celebrating the people and organizations working to strengthen Whidbey Island. Through documentary film screenings, panel discussions, and community conversations, participants will explore the stories, challenges, and opportunities shaping the island’s future.

Hosted at WICA, the festival features four themed sessions: Celebrating Our Home, Nourishing Our Community, Supporting Our Community, and Preparing for Our Future. Each session pairs short films with conversations led by local nonprofit leaders and community partners, creating opportunities to learn, connect, and imagine what’s next for Whidbey Island.

Admission is free, and registration is encouraged.
