Friday Night Music at Dancing Fish – Nathaniel Talbot Trio

Nathaniel is a guitarist and singer from Washington’s Whidbey Island, writes American roots music that combines the soulful edge of tradition with the Pacific Northwest’s legacy of freedom and innovation. He began learning piano at age 7, started his first punk band at 13 and quickly thereafter began steeping himself of the guitar-driven sounds of Bill Frisell, Kelly Joe Phelps, Elliott Smith and other Northwest heroes. Over the next 15 years Talbot honed an approach to songwriting and storytelling, driven by his complex fingerstyle guitar work, that has earned him a distinct place in the folk scene.

Accompanied by Whidbey Island’s Keegan Harshman on upright bass and Aaron Chaiclin on drums, the Trio is powered by their tight acoustic arrangements, lush vocals and the ability to suddenly stretch into the unexpected.

Join us for Monday Bites! Stanford’s Food Truck is back and there will be wine and live music by Sarah Brunner! This is a casual, fun and family-friendly evening.

Sarah Brunner is a Seattle-based singer, songwriter, and performer returning again for Monday Bites as a quick fan favorite! She’s been here many times playing for big crowds with her band the Hipocrats on our Music Nights. Her style blends acoustic Americana, folk and country.

Sarah Tweet is a professional singer born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in soulful Top 40 hits and classic Motown music. She sings around the greater Seattle area as a soloist and many of you may remember her from her many performances here as part of the all-female, Motown vocal trio The Jewel Tones

We can’t wait to welcome the Tara Craig Trio for their debut appearance at Dancing Fish. We are so excited to share this music with you, with poignant renditions of covers from artists like Tracy Chapman, James Taylor, and Joni Mitchell along with a few from her stirring array of originals. You don’t want to miss this one!!

Tara Craig is an award-winning, Americana-indie folk-pop, singer-songwriter based in Friday Harbor, WA. She captivates audiences with a huge voice that is equal parts soulful and vulnerable. Her songs drip with imagery and are delivered with palpable emotional intensity.

Tara currently performs both solo and as a trio with Daniel Deshon on bass and Scott Sluis on drums. Despite the full band’s broader sonic palette, the music remains grounded in Tara’s affecting voice and songwriting.
