Live Music @ Dancing Fish: Those Guys

Dancing Fish Vineyards

Singer/songwriter/guitarist John Hribernick and singer/percussionist Kristi Barnes have been performing together as Those Guys since 2011. In addition to John’s original songs, they play an eclectic yet familiar mix of popular tunes, with a wide-ranging song list featuring harmony-laden pop (Beatles, Indigo Girls), blues (Lucinda Williams, Taj Mahal), folk rock (Jack Johnson, John Mayer), protest rock (Green Day, Cranberries), power ballads (Linda Ronstadt, Pat Benatar), alternative (Radiohead, Barenaked Ladies), and much more.

John formerly toured throughout the Pacific Northwest with a three-piece power-pop group, later studying the playing of Elliot Easton and Ricky Wilson as the guitarist in tribute/cover bands All Mixed Up (The Cars) and Hot Lava (B-52’s). He began performing his own compositions as a solo acoustic artist in 2003.

Kristi has performed with choral groups around the world, singing at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and touring Spain and Portugal. She switched from classical to covers in 2005; her previous bands include Hot Lava and the ABBAgraphs (ABBA tribute), and she has been singing with classic rock cover band N2O since 2013.

Live Music @ Dancing Fish: Nathanial Talbot Trio

Dancing Fish Vineyards
Join us for excellent live music and wine in community!
We’re excited to welcome back the Nathaniel Talbot Trio to the Dancing Fish Barn stage. This is one one those, ‘if you know, you know” kind of shows. Nathaniel is a true talent and his Trio brings it to a new level. Originals you’ll feel you’ve known for years along with incredible renditions of some of your favorites. This is going to be a great show.
Nathaniel is a guitarist and singer from Washington’s Whidbey Island, writes American roots music that combines the soulful edge of tradition with the Pacific Northwest’s legacy of freedom and innovation. He began learning piano at age 7, started his first punk band at 13 and quickly thereafter began steeping himself of the guitar-driven sounds of Bill Frisell, Kelly Joe Phelps, Elliott Smith and other Northwest heroes. Over the next 15 years Talbot honed an approach to songwriting and storytelling, driven by his complex fingerstyle guitar work, that has earned him a distinct place in the folk scene.
Accompanied by Whidbey Island’s Keegan Harshman on upright bass and Aaron Chaiclin on drums, the Trio is powered by their tight acoustic arrangements, lush vocals and the ability to suddenly stretch into the unexpected.
This event is by reservation only and includes a shared appetizer board served to your table. Please be aware that due to limited seating capacity in the Dancing Fish Barn, some patrons may be assigned to larger communal tables. Thursday Night Music @ Dancing Fish: The EVM Quartet

Dancing Fish
Back by popular demand, Eric Vanderbilt-Mathews returns to Dancing Fish Vineyards with The EVM Quartet! This will surely be a truly epic musical event as Eric has handpicked the best of the best jazz musicians the PNW has to offer for this one.
The quartet is as follows:
Eric Vanderbilt-Mathews is a multi-instrumentalist from Whidbey who recently moved to Brooklyn to further his career in music. He’s toured internationally in jazz, rock, and pop contexts, with groups such as Quinn Bachand’s Brishen, General Mojo’s, and ABBA: The Concert. His own EVM All-Stars quartet has headlined Djangofest NW numerous times. When Eric isn’t playing music, he can be found in the mountains hiking.
Ronan Delisle is a guitarist, songwriter, and producer based in Los Angeles. An improviser with spry technique and a tender, lyrical sensibility, his work blends jazz, songcraft, and experimental textures into something quietly inimitable.
Greg Feingold is the bassist that top out-of-town acts call when they need someone to come in and “nail the gig” last minute. He tours regularly with the Kareem Kandi World Orchestra, played with the International String Trio while at Berklee, and jazz greats such as Jimmy Cobb, Eric Reed, and Cyrus Chestnut when he lived in New York. He’s a professor of bass at WWU, he’s featured on the EVM All-Stars debut album, and if you didn’t like bass solos before, you will now.
An integral part of the Pacific Northwest jazz and creative music scene, drummer Evan Woodle serves as a driving force behind several musically diverse bands while maintaining a healthy reputation as a first-call freelance performer, recording artist, and private instructor. Evan also acts as one third of the team behind Seattle-based jazz label Origin Records; regularly partners with the educational nonprofit Seattle JazzED; and in 2009, co-founded the Racer Sessions, an inclusive free-improvisation jam session and forum for new works that hosted its 589th and final session in December 2024.
