Thursday Night Music @ Dancing Fish: The EVM Quartet

Dancing Fish
Back by popular demand, Eric Vanderbilt-Mathews returns to Dancing Fish Vineyards with The EVM Quartet! This will surely be a truly epic musical event as Eric has handpicked the best of the best jazz musicians the PNW has to offer for this one.
The quartet is as follows:
Eric Vanderbilt-Mathews is a multi-instrumentalist from Whidbey who recently moved to Brooklyn to further his career in music. He’s toured internationally in jazz, rock, and pop contexts, with groups such as Quinn Bachand’s Brishen, General Mojo’s, and ABBA: The Concert. His own EVM All-Stars quartet has headlined Djangofest NW numerous times. When Eric isn’t playing music, he can be found in the mountains hiking.
Ronan Delisle is a guitarist, songwriter, and producer based in Los Angeles. An improviser with spry technique and a tender, lyrical sensibility, his work blends jazz, songcraft, and experimental textures into something quietly inimitable.
Greg Feingold is the bassist that top out-of-town acts call when they need someone to come in and “nail the gig” last minute. He tours regularly with the Kareem Kandi World Orchestra, played with the International String Trio while at Berklee, and jazz greats such as Jimmy Cobb, Eric Reed, and Cyrus Chestnut when he lived in New York. He’s a professor of bass at WWU, he’s featured on the EVM All-Stars debut album, and if you didn’t like bass solos before, you will now.
An integral part of the Pacific Northwest jazz and creative music scene, drummer Evan Woodle serves as a driving force behind several musically diverse bands while maintaining a healthy reputation as a first-call freelance performer, recording artist, and private instructor. Evan also acts as one third of the team behind Seattle-based jazz label Origin Records; regularly partners with the educational nonprofit Seattle JazzED; and in 2009, co-founded the Racer Sessions, an inclusive free-improvisation jam session and forum for new works that hosted its 589th and final session in December 2024.
