WICA Humanities – Walking Each Other Home
November 1 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm PDT
Back for its second year, this two-day event features wonderful variety shows and community conversation. A dynamic showcase on the topic of aging: exploring the sorrows, humor, and learning we experience during our passage through Elderhood. Featuring the stories of island neighbors, alongside the talents of local actors and musicians such as David Ossman, Stephen Merritt, Victory Schouten, Gail Liston, Julie Pigott, and Jim Scullin.
Conversation Café Saturday, Nov. 2, 9:30 a.m.
Join us on Saturday for a Community Conversation, How Do We Really Walk Each Other Home, led by Christina Baldwin. Participants will gather in small circles, followed by a group discussion to share the challenges and the gifts of this time of life — whatever our age. We aim to build a community of people on Whidbey who can support each other during this third act of life. The doors will open at 9:30 a.m., and guests can share a cup of coffee and peruse the resources offered by Healing Circles, South Whidbey at Home, and Island Senior Resources.
