Welcome the Whales Parade & Festival

Please join Orca Network for our annual Welcome the Whales as we welcome the Sounders gray whales back to Puget Sound!

Friday, April 10th, 5 – 7 p.m. – Whale & Marine Mammal Trivia Night at Thirsty Crab Brewery in Clinton

Saturday April 11th
11 a.m. – Costume making and activities at Langley United Methodist Church
1:15 p.m. – Parade staging at the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts parking lot at 6th and Cascade
2 p.m. – Welcome the Whales parade through Langley, followed by beach ceremony at Seawall Park

Sunday April 12th
11 a.m. at The Clyde Theater – Special impact screening of the new gray whale documentary The Way of the Whale. Directly following the movie, the film’s producer Franco Campos-Lopez Benyunes will join us virtually for a Q&A.
3 p.m. – Fundraising whale watch trip with Puget Sound Express from Langley Marina.
