Screenwriter, director, and producer Whit Stillman joins us in conversation on the 35th anniversary of Metropolitan, the ironically comic look at Manhattan’s endangered debutante scene that chronicles the rise and ultimate decline of a group of young Park Avenue socialites who gather nightly to discuss love, honor, and the impending demise of their class. Watch the movie at WICA on Friday night, and then come join in a rare conversation with Bob and Whit on the film, art, life, and the state of these United States! Stay after the conversation for a casual reception and meet-and-greet in Zech Hall. Reception food is included in the ticket; a no-host bar will be open. Be sure to watch the film the night before—Friday, May 2nd at 7:30 PM on the WICA mainstage!
