Smith in 2019 to form the acclaimed project Stony Hill, joined by Simon Kirke of Bad Company and longtime bassist Terry Morgan.
Their debut album, released in 2020 on the BMG label, received praise from Rolling Stone, The San Francisco Examiner, and other leading music publications. The standout track “America” earned acclaim for its poignant lyrics and timely message about a divided nation.
