SUMMARY:Feed Your Soul: Whidbey Island Nourishes Summer Benefit Event
DESCRIPTION:For more than 15 years\, WIN has been working to ensure that South Whidbey youth have\naccess to the healthy food they need to thrive. During 2025\, WIN’s client volume has\nskyrocketed – clearly indicating the high need that local youth and families are experiencing.\nThis event will raise funds in support of this mission and will help close the hunger gap that\nexists in our community.\n“WIN has started this summer with a bang – we have more summer clients than ever before in\nour weekend delivery program\, and we’ve taken on new (and existing) summer camp partners\,\nto make sure children have lunch while they are attending camp\,” says Shimada. “We have\ntaken the initiative this year to maximize our impact\, and the philanthropic dollars invested in us\,\nby working with food authors and nutritionists to create make-at-home recipes for youth\, so that\nWIN is not just nourishing bellies with food\, but we are also nourishing young minds with the\nculinary tools to succeed throughout life.”
