SUMMARY:Live Music @ Dancing Fish: Those Guys
DESCRIPTION:Singer/songwriter/guitarist John Hribernick and singer/percussionist Kristi Barnes have been performing together as Those Guys since 2011. In addition to John’s original songs\, they play an eclectic yet familiar mix of popular tunes\, with a wide-ranging song list featuring harmony-laden pop (Beatles\, Indigo Girls)\, blues (Lucinda Williams\, Taj Mahal)\, folk rock (Jack Johnson\, John Mayer)\, protest rock (Green Day\, Cranberries)\, power ballads (Linda Ronstadt\, Pat Benatar)\, alternative (Radiohead\, Barenaked Ladies)\, and much more. \nJohn formerly toured throughout the Pacific Northwest with a three-piece power-pop group\, later studying the playing of Elliot Easton and Ricky Wilson as the guitarist in tribute/cover bands All Mixed Up (The Cars) and Hot Lava (B-52’s). He began performing his own compositions as a solo acoustic artist in 2003. \nKristi has performed with choral groups around the world\, singing at the Kennedy Center in Washington\, D.C.\, and touring Spain and Portugal. DESCRIPTION:An evening of live music with Jilian Linklater and special guest Kaylee Jasperson \nLake Orion\, Michigan born singer-songwriter Jilian Linklater had no idea a Taylor Swift Karaoke contest would be the catalyst of her songwriting career in 2008. But when she won a trip to Nashville at 17 and learned “people wrote songs for a living”\, she was hooked and never looked back. \nJilian penned songs that landed her writing credits with recording artists Jason Gray\, JJ Heller\, MamaDear\, Caroline Kole and more. Her songs have been featured by national brands including Disney\, Amazon\, and Netflix as well as television shows American Ninja Warrior\, Degrassi and many more. Her writing prowess got her into writing rooms with some of Nashville’s top writers and producers including Dave Berg (Keith Urban\, Reba) and Cason Cooley (Ben Rector\, Ingrid Michaelson) as well as onto coveted Nashville songwriter stages like the famous Bluebird Cafe. Jilian’s self released records and singles have also accumulated over 6 million spins on Spotify. Jilian’s honest and authentic voice paired with her conversational and confessional lyrics have captured listeners and artists alike. Jilian currently resides in Seattle\, WA with her dog Toby and travel companion “Wildflower” – a van she converted with her grandfather in 2021. \nThis event is by reservation only and a portion of the $25 admission fee will go to Whidbey Island Nourishes (WIN). \nDancing Fish Vineyards offers a winery\, hospitality\, and special event experience on the south end of Whidbey Island for wine tasting\, music night\, or another special event.
