Fred Lundahl
Fred Lundahl, Chamber President for 2024, and his wife Sharon founded their shop “Music for the Eyes” more than twenty years ago. They retired from 30 years as Diplomats working in US Embassies around the world and moved to Langley in 2003. Fred has been on the Chamber Board since 2005. He help found the Langley Main Street Association and the Langley Whale Center. He serves on the Board of OrcaNetwork and the Seattle-Tashkent Sister City Association. He also founded the South Whidbey Flying Club where he teaches folks to fly.

Jennifer and her husband Jeremy moved to Whidbey Island in 2009 when Jeremy (U.S. Navy, retired) was stationed at Naval Air Station, Oak Harbor. They fell in love with the island and decided to remain upon his retirement. Jennifer earned her B.A. from Florida International University in 2001. She is the Marketing Program Manager for Whidbey Telecom, as well as the Committee Lead for the Whidbey Telecom Employee Giving Back Team, which oversees the donation of funds and services to local nonprofits. She has been active in several community and nonprofit organizations, including Warm Beach Senior Community and the Girl Scouts of Western Washington for eight years. Sarah Jean Muncey-Gordon is a born and raised islander. The youngest of a large blended family, both of Sarah’s parents spent their careers as educators in the South Whidbey School District instilling the importance of community and youth outreach. Sarah graduated from South Whidbey High School class of 2009 where she ranked nationally in DECA competing in the Apparel and Accessories Marketing category. Sarah has been a license cosmetologist with Washington state since 2011.
After completing her formal education at Northwest Hair Academy and a traditional apprenticeship in Edmonds she returned to the island to work as a beautician and as the Associate Youth Director for the Christian missionary alliance-Langley. Sarah developed her executive skills at the corporate offices of Archie McPhee Novelties during a hiatus from the beauty industry. Her official job title was “Grantor of Wishes” working closely with the CEO and CFO learning the ins-and-outs of international business development. She now owns Bandbox Beauty Supply, Langley’s first and only beauty supply and is the youngest member sitting on the board of Langley’s Chamber of Commerce.…

Lilly and her husband, Barry, moved to Whidbey Island in late 2012 after visiting Barry’s mother here for over 20 years and knew it was where they wanted to be forever.
Lilly grew up in the Boutique her mother managed for 25 years in the French Quarter in New Orleans , LA where she was born and raised. She loved getting to dress the mannequins in the windows every weekend, and getting to help customers was a highlight of her day!
Lilly and Barry opened Fair Trade Outfitters in 2015 after attending the Whidbey Institutes “Thriving Communities” weekend and realizing their love for sustainable and FairTrade Products would be a great fit for Langley. The shop will be celebrating their 9th year here in June.
Lilly believes being a merchant in Downtown Langley helps serve the Chamber Board with insights and ideas for bringing events in helping Langley thrive.
Lilly so loves being part of the community that she has played a character in Langley’s Mystery Weekend for the past 8 years and sees how beneficial this event is to the town.
Barry has also stepped in as Santa on his motorcycle for the Lighting of Langley.
She and Barry have lived within walking distance to their shop since 2018 and have loved every minute of it!…

Diane Gabelein
Diane has been a South Whidbey resident for almost forty years, she married a lifelong islander and raised two children in the South Whidbey school district. She has been with Heritage Bank since 2019 and is the Assistant Manager at the Langley Whidbey Island Bank Branch, she is focused on building and maintaining long term relationships with her clients. Just as she cares about her customers she also cares about her community. Diane has volunteered for many community events, and for nonprofit organizations such as WAIF and Whidbey Island Dance Theater. Diane currently sits on the board for Island County Historical Society and is excited to be a part of The Langley Chamber of Commerce Board.…

Michael grew up in downtown Langley and has deep roots in the South Whidbey community. After graduating from South Whidbey High School in 2001, he attended the University of Washington, earning a B.A. in Spanish & History. He lived in Spain for two years, before returning “home” where he became an accidental banker, bought a house, and is now raising his 10-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter.
Michael has earned the reputation as a trusted banking advisor and takes great pride in providing excellent customer service. He is very active in the community that he loves so much. In addition to his 10 years on the board of the Langley Chamber of Commerce, he has been coaching youth soccer for 6 years and frequently volunteers at the South Whidbey Elementary School. He also runs the South Whidbey Community Soccer Game and launched a Fall/Winter futsal program through Parks & Recreation.…

A native of Whidbey Island, Loretta moved back in 1995 and became Langley Chamber Director from 1998 until 2007. Loretta is active in the community both volunteering and serving on several non-profit boards. She believes our community thrives when our local businesses thrive. Loretta was an enthusiastic boater and hiker but lately spends most of her time writing murder mysteries. She has written or co-written 22 Langley Mystery Weekends and over 30 such events for B&Bs, resorts, and other small towns (as long as the towns are at least 200 miles from Langley). Loretta was a Commercial Designer, specializing in stores and hotels. She later worked as an Art Director and Producer in broadcast television and served as the founding Main Street Director for Port Angeles.…
