The Duchess Fanny Fenwick asked for a private tour of the museum on Thursday. The Duchess was particularly interested in the history surrounding Langley’s all woman City Council and Mayor elected just after women gained the vote. The women had been complaining the village was dirty and dangerous.

The men said, “If you think you can do better than us men, prove it.”

So they ran and won every position! The Duchess said, “I’ve always though women should rule. We’re more sensible.”
