Whidbey Island Harvest Festival – Seeking Participants

The Whidbey Island Harvest Festival, to be held on October 3 – 6, 2019, at the Whidbey Island Fairgrounds and Events Center, is looking for participants from the local community.

This four-day event will offer opportunities for local artists, growers, vintners, restaurateurs, chefs, musicians and artisans to bring their talent together in celebration of all that is Whidbey Island.

We are seeking presenters for October 3rd and 4th to host classes and talks on topics associated with life on Whidbey Island, from foraging to growing…from cooking to cabinetry…we are open to all aspects of life on Whidbey.

You develop the class, tell us the fee, how many people and we’ll sell it for you via the event program and via traditional and social media. We will add a small administration fee to your selling price. Seminars or classes are limited to 2 hours each. Deadline for application is August 15th.

For the weekend, October 5th and 6th, vendor space is available, for those wanting to sell their wares and provide information to the public. We will have both indoor and outdoor booth space available for rent. And, the Pole Barn will be available for music, food and wine vendors. We are encouraging use of local ingredients and innovative preparation. Both local restaurants and caterers are welcome to participate.

The fee for all vendors is $100 for the weekend. All proceeds from sales belong to the seller. Tokens for food and wine will be sold at the entrance to the Pole Barn valued at $2. each in increments of $10. The tokens will be cashed out at the end of each day and a check will be issued to the vendor. Vendors on the Midway will be given a 10’ X 10’ space and must supply their own tent. There are also 18 indoor booth spaces available. Deadline for Application is August 15th.
