The 38th Annual Mystery Weekend – February 25-26 in Langley WA, Whidbey Island

Mystery Weekend  February 25-26, 2023

There’s a “murder” mystery afoot in downtown Langley.  It’s happened every year for the past 38 years.

If you’re new to Langley’s Mystery Weekend, here’s a brief recap of how to play:

Purchase a Langley Mystery Weekend Clue Map with ballot the day of the event  at the
Visitor Information Center located at 208 Anthes Ave. Langley or order advance tickets online at VisitLangley.com/store for pickup the morning of February 25 at 9 a.m. Tickets are $15 for adults 11-64 ($12 if age 65+, military, or youth under 10).

Langley Mystery Weekend Clue Maps are available Mystery Weekend. The office opens 9 a.m.
for Will Call (for those who ordered tickets and apparel online), and 10 a.m. for the general public. Begin by reading the news articles about the crime in the once-yearly newspaper, “The Langley Gazette.”

Check out the Clue Map. This map shows locations where you can pick up printed clues
to help you solve the mystery. All of the clue locations and the scene of the crime are within
a mile of downtown. The suspect photos are in the program. As you walk around town getting your clues, you will encounter some
of the suspects (i.e. characters) described in the Gazette. You never know who might have
valuable information which will help you solve the mystery. But beware! Information pried
from these characters may not necessarily be reliable. After all, the real “criminal” is out there and he or
she has every reason to lead you in the wrong direction!

Finally, when you think you have figured out “whodunit,” enter your solution on the Official Ballot.
Bring your completed form to the Langley Visitor Information Center (Mystery Weekend Headquarters)
at 208 Anthes Ave before 4 p.m. Sunday.  Correct ballot solutions will be placed in a drawing for Grand Prizes ranging from Weekend Getaways and merchant gift certificates to Mystery Weekend Memorabilia. All the other ‘incorrect ballots’ will
be placed in a drawing for other prizes.

The “reveal” will be Sunday, February 26 at 5 p.m. at the Pole building at the Fairgrounds. The solution will be published on this website after 8 p.m. on February 26.
