Whidbey Island comes together in a celebration of difference!
The queer community of Whidbey Island hosts a celebration of difference in the streets of Langley, with a focus on the LGBTQIA community. To include people of all genders and orientations, it is called Queer Pride Parade, where queer means outside society’s binary prescriptions, and is part of Queer Pride on Whidbey.
“Diversity is fundamental to the health and well-being of every community. To include people of all genders and orientations, it is called the Queer Pride Parade.”
Diversity is fundamental to the health and well-being of every community. The Parade is open to all queer and allied people, organizations, and businesses on and off Whidbey Island, including Seattle. Each year, a new local artist designs the annual t-shirt, and timely community engagement events are held.
For opportunities to volunteer, participate, sponsor, register for the parade, or simply find current information, please go to www.qpowhidbey.com.
