Apple Day and the Mutt Strut Parade

Historic Bayview Corner will host Apple Day, featuring the 11th annual Mutt Strut dog parade and costume contest, on Saturday, October 21, 10 am – 2 pm.  Free admission with a charge for food and beverages; takes place rain or shine.

This family friendly community festival will feature the following activities:

Apple Pressing & Tasting Stations

Staff from Bayview Farm & Garden will be on hand in the green house pressing apples for fresh cold and hot cider. Dozens of apple varieties will be available for a delicious apple tasting experience.

The Mutt Strut: Dress up your favorite canine for the 11th Annual Mutt Strut Dog Parade & Costume Contest, sponsored by Goosefoot.

Prizes awarded for:

  • best dog costume
  • best owner & dog costume combo
  • best trick
  • best celebrity dog

There might even be a surprise prize category or two made up on the spot by emcee and Whidbey Island’s “conductor of fun” Jim Freeman.  Mutt Strut registration begins at 11 am; the parade is at 12 noon with costume judging to follow.

Please call (360) 321-4145 for further information or visit for further details.  The location of the event is 5603 Bayview Road, Langley, on South Whidbey Island, just 7 milesfrom the Clinton Ferry dock.  Take Highway 525 to Bayview Road.  Make a right onto Bayview Road and Bayview Corner is located at the next intersection of Marshview Avenue and Bayview Road.
