“Tales of Langley’s Early Settlers” by local historian Bob Waterman

Learn about the hopes and heartaches of Langley’s early non-indigenous settlers in this fascinating talk by Bob Waterman on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Front Room Gallery on the second floor of the Bayview Cash Store.

It’s part of the South Whidbey Historical Society’s “Snapshots of South Whidbey History” Exhibit open daily from noon to 5 p.m. through Feb. 29

Listen to firsthand accounts of Langley founder Jacob Anthes who came here from Germany as a teenager… of rivalries… love stories… courage… and heartbreak.

The exhibit is free. There is a $5 suggested donation for the talk.
