Queer Pride on Whidbey Parade
May 8 @ 2:59 pmFree
August 2019 – specific date information to follow
March for fun and show your support and solidarity by participating in the QPOW
Parade from WICA down 6th Street over down Anthes Ave. and up First Street in Langley.
Dress up is optional, but colorful rainbow attire is encouraged and will add to the celebration!
Queer Pride on Whidbey is dedicated to bringing awareness, enrichment, and celebration of the LGBTQ+ community to Whidbey Island. Every summer, community members and guests come together to participate in the annual parade, which is enhanced by additional educational and social events throughout the year. We are a volunteer-powered festival made possible by the generous support of our community. The 2018 Pride Parade will be held on Saturday, June 16th in the city of Langley. Our parade is always free to attend and participate.
We hope that by now, you’ve heard of the Queer Pride on Whidbey Parade. If you haven’t, all you need to know is that it’s fun, friendly, and fabulous!
We’re writing to ask you for help funding the parade this year, because no one should have to travel off island to find support and connection.
We’re excited to announce that donations are now tax-deductible through our fiscal sponsorship with CascadiaNow!
Every donation goes towards planning and promoting local Pride events. We cannot host the parade without you!
$100- In Solidarity
$250- Fierce Queen
$500- Magical Unicorn
$1000- Double Rainbow
Sponsors will be listed on our website through April of 2019 and will be given a shout out on our Facebook page (with approximately 630 followers.) In addition to Pride season, Double Rainbow sponsors will get a special shout out during the holidays.
We would also love for you to participate in the parade with us if you can!
