Whidbey Earth & Ocean Month
April 1 - April 30Free
Officially celebrated on April 22 each year, Earth Day is observed on Whidbey Island during the whole month of April. Collectively known as Whidbey Earth and Ocean Month—activities planned are sure to appeal to a range of interests and backgrounds.
Pulling it all together and also organizing their own events is the Whidbey Earth Day Committee, consisting of representatives from: Goosefoot; Greening Congregations Collaborative; Island County Public Health; Orca Network; South Whidbey Tilth; Whidbey Custom Events; and Whidbey Eco Network.
Activities for 2017 include all-day festivals, lectures, art shows, work parties, field trips, and more. Member churches of the Greening Congregations Collaborative also have non-denominational activities planned.
